Tell that to the pilot in the DFW CPO the other day that was getting JM'ed from their reserve days in October and linked up with their hard line trip that started in November. Scheduling had linked the JM day to continue into the scheduled trip. Tell me that doesn't violate the contractual definition or intent of a JM being one day.
I was JM'ed three times in October, and yes I had informed scheduling when the second one occurred.
Maybe you should try talking to actual line pilots instead of CS managers to find out what is REALLY going on. Pilots are getting fed up and Mr. Glass's intimidation tactics aren't helping.

All you ever do is come on here and try to sow discontent and promote an anti Envoy agenda. If you are so unhappy here and with a guaranteed AA job on top of that, I would suggest you find employment elsewhere. We have plenty of applicants and interest.

I'm not really sure of how the incident you mentioned played out. It does sound like only one JM occurrence to me. It's black and white as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure that the scheduler checked and saw it the same way as well.

The stuff crew scheduling pulls during the transition is insane. They build schedules with pilots working 7 days straight days ( thanks to 30hr overnights). CS will R1 you and list it as a RF so they can turn you back again. If you are on reserve now then expect to be used EVERY day with starting early on day one all the way to finishing late on your last day.

Says the person who sits in a cubicle. It's so awesome here! We should all be happy! I mean JM are great! You get away from your family and for one more day....or I mean three. Wait no, five....

I have never done a JM that I didn't "want" to do. Either grow a pair or grow up and accept the lifestyle of the profession you chose or take control of your life and find a new line of work. Because all I am hearing is a bunch of millennial cry babies whining that they can't have their cake cake and eat it too.

Would you like to tell everyone the story about how you couldn't make it through FedEx newhire training?

Of course it's "black and white" to you. You don't care about the QOL of your "fellow" employees. When crew scheduling attempted to JM me for a third time last month, when I called them on it, the scheduler wanted me to tell him the two dates I had been JM'ed to make sure "I wasn't lying to him." Yea, cause he isn't sitting in front of a computer? GMAFB. After a few minutes on hold, he finally took it off.

Out of curiosity, do you think all the reserve pilots at the other regionals are just sitting around and getting paid to do nothing? Would you rather not be JM and have them stop the flow? Reserve pilots at AA are complaining about the same "get used everyday and get flown into days off" treatment. It's part of being a pilot. The guy that gets to fly 9 days a month for $300,000 a year is the exception, not the rule.

Oh no sir. You got that one wrong. I am growing a pair because I'm flying the wonderful schedules that our superb managers are providing me. Yeah, I might as well say that I'm based in MIA with how many times I've been sent out here to work another airlines flying. I don't mind the extra flying, when it makes sense. But all our QOL problems come from one and only one source and that is AAG. They have chosen to make our schedules and lives as broken as they are. You didn't make that choice, I didn't, neither did Pedro. Nice try turning into this as a "cry baby" moment, because it doesn't change the fact that our upper managers and executives are making this they way it is. You don't like us telling the truth? Then tell our leaders to start leading and making a difference? To actually improve our work rules and schedules. Where we don't have to waste 30hrs away from families just to fly one flight of 2hrs? Inefficiency is the problem and these executives excel at it.
Addition: the flow and JM have nothing to do with one or the other. Very weak, man.
JM happen because of the inefficiency of their staffing not because of flow. If it was the flow, that would've been stopped a year ago.

That's not the problem and you know it. The industry average work rules for reserve are far better than what we have currently. 12 day off minimum reserve lines, no ready reserve, trip/duty rigs, etc. Our reserve section hasn't even been amended to be 117 compliant yet!
I'd rather the company not have scared off 500+ pilots with their Comair II threats. Pilots we need right now.
Except their reserve system is light-years ahead of ours. CS calling to offer trips in seniority order. Long call. No pre-assigned 4 AM RAP.
Oh REALLY now? And how many MA's, PG's, or UA's did you get as a result?
Sorry, but that's bull****. I had 8 days off last month, and talking with other pilots I know, there are a lot of people that are getting burnt out. In the ten years I've been at envoy, I have NEVER seen our QOL be worse than it is right now. That's not whining, that's simply fact. "Accepting the lifestyle" doesn't mean someone should live only to work. That's a miserable existence, and not something ANYONE is willing to sign up for, nor did they. The DFW CPO told me the other day that management is simply no longer able to hide the amount of crew cancellations anymore. Management lackies like cr700 had better wake up fast or the situation will spiral out of their control.

Who, me or the guy that's trying to tell us how our contract was crappy while ignoring the good? I think I made a pretty good case as to how our contract shielded us in the face of many other airlines failing.
As to the JM issue and lousy schedules I'm with TrinityD on this one. I have info directly from the pilot who was jm'd an additional 3 days. It's happening folks. We may be getting new hires but life stinks in the trenches.
