Default Airport reserve ORD

Can anyone explain how the airport reserve works? How many times a month and how long each day you have to be at the airport? Current reserve times at ORD for 145 and CRJ(pamphlet says 8 and 6 months respectively)

Reserve times are going to be dropping if new hires continue to fill classes. A month or two at the junior base followed by an increasing time at the other two senior bases.

The only caveat is the 175 that is going to be a very quick reserve for DFW. This will continue to be the case until we stop getting new 175s then we will see stagnation.

CRJ... not sure.

Someone going to LGA right now will sit rsv for two months at most. 50% of the base on the fo side went unfilled.

Great info. Do you think that will still be the case by the time I hit the line in Jan/Feb?

Once you're off reserve, as a commuter from ORF will I still need a crash pad or will the 4 nights in a hotel covered by envoy be enough?

Cheers, Jimmy

They need 75 fos in ny, 32 bid it. Not sure if it has been in the recent new hire class or not. But you can do the math off the new hire breakdown coming up. They need 75. I'd guess when fully up 40-45 hard lines. Do the math oneach up coming class they need 75. Also you have a ton of guys about to upgrade in the right seat right now in lga.

Looking at the flow plan right now I don't think they will put new hires heavily into NY until January. We have 35 FOs on property that will transfer to NY. First group goes in Jan and the last guy is planned to go march 2.

I know three FOs got NY in training last week. I think most of the new hires in December/January will get NY until then it's going to be ORD.

Monday starts a NH class so I might be proved wrong.

This is a little off-topic, but does Envoy or any other airline pay for the FAA medical? Or is it always an out-of-pocket expense?

My health insurance covered my last one. Not sure if Envoys health insurance covers it as preventative?
