I understand that part... but are they even giving anyone January training slots for the 175? I am able to wait until January for a training slot so I was trying to see if it would even be an option Envoy will give me during indoc

Don't hold out till January for the 175. That's crazy. You could hold out and still not be able to get it. Get in now. Get that seniority and upgrade to it before the new hires in January upgrade, if you really want to fly it.

Thanks for some good hard numbers. So this means zero slots were even given for the 175/DFW, 145/DFW?
Interviewed 4/1, received offer 4/8, started indoc 4/25. The day you start indoc is your class date/DOH. You find out what your base and fleet is on day one, usually first thing they do, unless they hand out the bonus checks first. Little heads up, my NH bonus check was for more than my mobile deposit would allow. If you flew in to DFW for training, you might have to ask one of your classmates to drive you to the bank on the way home from class. Guess that's a good problem to have, though...

Thanks for all the help, yall.

So after bidding for airframe do they stick us wherever we are needed (ORD seems to be the spot for the moment) or do we also get to bid for base as well?

When are new hires going to be able to bid for LGA on the 145, is it on the table yet?

No. Wait five days for the bid to run. That will tell if this will flood new hire classes or be hard to get.

Ok thanks, my interview is still upcoming (this Friday). I suppose all things going well at the interview I could expect a start date early Nov, so there should be a bit more info by then on how LGA might pan out by then.

Historically LGA was consistently a junior base when it was open. I expect that to be the case when it reopens. If you get the 145 it won't take long to hold IMO.

I just urge using caution for the time being due to its small size and lack of East coast bases. Also we formerly had a base 4x the size there. Also it's the easiest commute from sju and mia.

Your bid will have equipment and base together. They aren't separate. The company will use a three letter code that identifies the base, seat, and equipment for each bid and that's what will be put up on the board. More than likely, your class will see OFE (ORD 145), OFC (ORD CRJ), and maybe LGA slots if the current bid doesn't fill the base.

The first hour of class is fun and exciting. Bonus check, you find out your bid, and you get your iPad. I hope you enjoy it and welcome to Envoy.
