Not much around the Drury, unfortunately. But on the plus side, you can take the hotel bus back to the airport and go to downtown STL and stuff to kill time on off days. Also they have dinner there every night and 2 free drinks.

He is just an asst CP. Not a high level manager like some believe. Unfortunately, I do believe that such an attitude does exist among the higher level management. It really is too bad. I don't think that envoy is any worse than all the other regionals but it used to be a great place. So much better than it is now. Pilots like me came to Eagle, despite the high upgrade times, because of that.

Jack Russell is right though. A key distinguishing characteristic of a great management team to a horrible one, is whether they take personal responsibility for their company's state or push the blame on someone else. It would seem to me that is the only thing some of our managers are good at, passing the blame (and responsibility) to someone else.

That's the first thing they learn in orientation.

That's not too bad. It's about a 7 hour drive for me, so if I'm going to be down there for a few weeks, I will most likely drive. Not sure about DFW. A 17 hour drive sucks.

True...but...

Having a car in DFW while in training will give you the liberty to go around and eat wherever you want. You can go out on weekends and have an easier life overall.

And in fact, his firing was straight up illegal, and was reversed with back pay.

Considering I know him, unless I'm wrong, he's not back and still gone.

Did you guys know firing someone for union work is against federal law and alpa is supposed to pay protect such pilots.

Don't forget, all that poster did was suggest that cr700's publicly posted opinion of a pilot may apply to a member of upper management. In other words, according to our management poster, what is perfectly acceptable for them to say about our pilots online is unacceptable for us to say about management.
