How do you figure that? The plan now is to only give 4 to PSA next year and possibly keep the remaining longer. Guys that just hit the line will have 40+ guys below them by the end on Jan 2016 looking at the flow plan. They are still actively hiring into the CRJ. Assuming they don't upgrade and the amount of lines stay the same or go down then your assumption might be right. However, people are leaving to the LCCs and the plan is to upgrade throughout the year. This is due to increased flows and a possible increase in hours for 2016. Now I could be wrong and I'm not trying to be a cheerleader for envoy but to say that a new hire is going to be on eternal reserve is an exaggeration. If the transfers continue then most likely a displacement will happen rather soon. Id agree with you but the my optimism makes me believe that there is a light at the end of the tunnel with envoy and it is not a train like it has been for the past 4+ years.

Envoy will have to have a stunning upgrade/hiring spree from 2017 through the first half of 2018 for you to make captain at Envoy in 2.5 years and if that is unrealistic, how can a 6 year claim of flow to AA be, if they are codependent ?
Caveat Emptor.

As the upgrades continues, I think the CRJ will stay relatively JR compared to the EMJ and the 175.

...then HE/SHE is being optimistic. Do your due dillegence and a gut check of the situation to determine if the numbers add up or is a sales pitch with overly optimistic projections are being blown up your outflow valve.

I am doing my due diligence. That's why I am asking the (hopefully honest) guys who fly the line here as opposed to just accepting what the recruiter says as fact. None of it really matters unless I pass the interview, of course, but in the event that I do, I want to know what my options are.
The pay may be better at ENY, and there may be a flow, but if I can't get 1,000 in 11-18 months, there may be other places willing to pay me less to fly me more.

ENY isn't that bad, there have been a lot of us here and stuck for way too long and our patience is starting to wear. Is it gonna get better? Probably. Just hard to get most of us inside to believe the numbers being thrown out there based on what we have already been through.
