Was riding on an Airways 190 and the CA was an ex-Eagle F/O, spent 6 years in the right seat at Eagle and a year as an Airways F/O...
Goes to show you how screwed up the commuter world is. GTFO as soon as possible...waiting for a flow is just stupid when you look at how much they are going to hire. Those waiting over 4-5 years will be at the tail end of the hiring wave, which from my understanding it's going to take a decade to get through the list.

Called all my contacts when they had a position and it was, "We'd love to have you but you're just not competitive on the recency issue." (I also have other things I can offer the corporate departments - published safety author, SMS expertise, speaker at NBAA events, courseware developer, etc.). The recency is the kiss of death. Going there in search of a corporate gig may not work as well as one thinks. It happens but it's not the norm for instructors. I had to go back to the regionals for four months to get picked up by B6.
As a side note, FS is requiring a two year contract after becoming a fully qualified instructor. And if you're just going to bail on that Berkshire Hathaway is flush with staff lawyers. I was also a program manager so I can speak accurately about those that left in a hurry.

Let me get this right...
We have Gardner, RJ & Eaglefly discussing the merits and qualities of luxury cars on an Envoy forum. The same one's who have been or are senior captains making $100+k and/or flowed to AA while Envoy just received another devastating blow with yet another base closure all while there are hundreds of guys to get displaced and over a thousand FO's who are having a hard time keeping their heads above water.
Way to represent yourselves...even if you are just joking.

Uh, yeah because every pilot who started here went right to senior ca pay? I don't get it. Everyone started as an FO. So yes they do know what the pay is like?

Did I mention someone shouldn't buy a car or whatever they want....I actually said just that a few posts later. It was the poor tact in some of their posts I was pointing out.

It involved a 300+ lb girl, performing a self pleasure show on the hood of a Honda Civic, and the subsequent crunching of said hood, some ****ed off locals, and a long drunken walk / run / stumble back to the hotel (which included tripping over every hole in the ground on the way) at 0100 on a Saturday night / Sunday morning. I may or may not have only been a spectator of this horrible show.
