The vast majority of what he posted still seems plausible today, does it not?

What was false about Mason's posts? That there would be shrinkage? That others would be whipsawed against ENY? That there would be short to medium term pain before things get better? That ultimately there would be one path to AA? That consolidation was probably inevitable? On this site it's easy to see past posts. Read it for yourself if you don't believe me.

The flow as a "life boat" is only as good as the company it's attached to. Anybody assuming that the flow is a sure thing is a fool, and any pilot expecting to flow in the next five years that doesn't keep that in mind and votes expecting to avoid the consequences of the results is, well...a fool.
The system worked. Just because it didn't render the results you wanted doesn't mean it failed. Again, if people didn't do their own due diligence and voted based upon crew room rumor and are unhappy with the results, too bad.
My opinion at this point is that AAG wants to put us right where the other wholly owned carriers have been for the last several years; stagnant, shrinking, full of old aircraft with no new aircraft on the horizon, no visible future and in genuine fear of disappearing. We will be the next PSA. Beaten, small and scared and willing to take anything. All they have to do is sit back and wait for it to happen. Effortlessly.
I'm glad we got to vote but to say that the system worked is a stretch.

I wouldn't say effortlessly. They pay big money to the union busters over at F&H Solutions Group to get their results.

Heck even me was thinking to vote yes if the last deal that the company declined was going thru.

We at Envoy turned down the one path to AA plan, AAG has moved on. Envoy will not be part of the new AAG.

No actually, it doesn't seem plausible any longer. It is my belief that the "one path to AA" plan was actually the AIP. Look at the numbers, first 30 new hires a month from Envoy, 4 from PSA, 3 or 4 (not sure of the exact number) from PDT. Nearly 40 pilots a month from the wholly owned carriers, while not 100% of the new hire classes that is a significant amount.
