Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the SAP in place prior to the 12/4 contract? With the SAP PSA's contract is actually superior to Envoy's current BK deal, but I don't think it can be used in defense of the 12/4 concession.
But you know...it's so shinny that have them blind.

Parker and co are on record for saying multiple times that they have too many regional carriers at the combined LAA/LUS (I believe 10-11) and they want that down to a smaller number. They see the future as a baseball "Farm" system where they hire people into a wholly owned for a few years then move them to the mainline. Again, can't do that with contract carriers but having only 1 wholly owned eliminates the ability to whipsaw.

Piedmont TA passed by 77%. I bet AA mgmt is kicking themselves because with those numbers they could've offered less and piedmont would've taken it. Last straw for envoy or will they come back one last time with an even worse offer than PSA and Piedmont and say, "see, I told you so."

Don't be the bunny...
Yeah...why would they do that when all they have to do is slowly grow the US Air side wholly owned with AE aircraft....
The aircraft just slowly disappear...certainly CRJs, then maybe 140's then 145's...off to places unknown... until they're being flown by PSA and PDT (and maybe others).
Anyone who saw Comair happen remember CA tails at ASA and so....
When I started my first job, someone told me not to let others plan my career for me. Doesn't matter what you do.
Remember... you're a pilot. Time to re-plan. Consider your alternates. Consider your resources and options, and execute your alternate.

I doubt that. Why would they take the time to get training, proving runs etc, on an aircraft with 37K cycles? Their getting old. Plus adding any new fleet type to a carrier is a learning curve. Maintenance etc. they'd spend more time at the gate than the air? Plus the fuel, their pilots have never been above 15K.

If they'd use them at Envoy for any length of time there's no reason to think they won't at PDT. Nobody would have thought Comair 50s would still be flying around as we were all going to 70s and soon after 90s so...
re: above 15K...lol, yeah and we were flying E110, E120, and ATR ....and there are a lot of typed 145 guys who may just "have" to move. Not all will but they don't ALL have to immediately.
Adding a new fleet type is a learning curve only if the resources are new...if they are transferred (mgmt/support) and have recently been flying them then the learning curve isn't as steep. Just saying. And who's to say Envoy doesn't shrink to just contracted AAG ground service.
Nobody thought Comair could fail (just like nobody thought Lehman, or GM, or Countrywide...pick your business). If management wants to they can and will close Envoy. There will be people reluctant to accept that truth until long after they don't have many other options. There were folks at Comair to the bitter end and then there were those who were there and saw the handwriting on the wall years in advance.
This will not happen in months but if it happens it won't be more than 2 years and the end will come more swiftly if it comes than people expect. Management has been pretty consistent, frankly. They've basically done what they've said they're going to do. Pedro might play kiss kiss to maintain morale and keep people from thinking the doors to the bank are closing (think great depression) but that doesn't mean anything....
