That's a DPA product, not ALPA's just to point out.

DPA is not equal to ALPA.

Do your homework.
Piedmont will be getting our old beat up ERJ's regardless of how they vote. Then, when attrition at Eagle has reached an ideal level, the two crap companies will be merged.

You will be saddled with the pos Piedmont jet rates if they vote yes. Your urging them to do so is only going to hurt you in the long run.

Do your homework...

What makes you think a JCBA between Envoy and PDT would end up using the PDT LOA jet rates?

IIRC Pinnacoabla's JCBA ended up with much better rates than the bottom feeder Colgan had before the whole thing went bankrupt. Am I wrong in assuming the merged contracts are usually better for the lesser paid pilot group?

I understand by voting in this TA PDT would hurt the negotiations starting point on pay rates but I'm pretty sure we would end up with something better than the PDT LOA jet rates.

I hope you're right, but I find the company's obsession with 12/4 caps at all their wholly-owneds to be quite telling of their intent. To so persistently seek 12/4 at both Eagle and Piedmont only to give it away in a merger just because Eagle said no doesn't make any sense from a corporate standpoint.

Which makes me doubt AAG has any desire to merge any of the WO carriers in the near future. What does AAG gain by merging them?

I could see the 3 WO merging down the road only if the regional industry consolidates due to staffing issues.

If this plays out how I think it will, regionals will hit a breaking point in the next 3-5 years where they will no longer be able to find any qualified pilots to staff their operations. The 12/4 caps and awful pay will only make things worse but I think at a certain point there will literally be too few available new pilots, even if the pay gets better. The legacies will start to bring flying back in house and the regional airline industry will shrink considerably, especially amongst the FFD carriers. I think all of this will happen within the decade, but only if we stave off legislative and regulatory changes such as dropping the ATP rule or creating more loop holes for it, introducing a multi crew certificate, increasing retirement age to 67, etc.

Eagle merging with Piedmont what-if's? Do you guys seriously have that much free time on your hands?!?

Eagle had the lions share of the AA flying pre-merger. Post merger, Dougie & CO went the DAL route and split everything up. Eagle was going to lose a bunch of planes regardless.

The DAL route is to take back its regional flying to mainline. Dougie and CO ate ten years too late to follow that model.

I also know of more senior Captains at PSA who will make $150k this year. And no, it's not adding in all the things you mentioned. Until you know our contract and how it works, and I'll admit even I don't understand every word, it's easy to make broad statements like many do here about how we lowered the bar. Life is pretty good here and getting better by the day now that the leader at the top has been replaced.

I read what you wrote very clearly, was just looking for clarification... Thanks, and now I see that the SAP you PSA guys are trying to use as an excuse or justification for you taking concessions is not something that can be counted on to continue, and for the most part your pay caps mean your pay will lag behind all the better regionals that are actually voting NO to concessions, and actually attempting to raise the bar(although the PSA yes vote for concessions doesn't help)!

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the SAP in place prior to the 12/4 contract? With the SAP PSA's contract is actually superior to Envoy's current BK deal, but I don't think it can be used in defense of the 12/4 concession.
