I tell you what...
PSA is hiring the bottom of the barrel for FOS.
How do I know?
Does someone remember Seaborne Airlines??? Well a guy I know just go hired at PSA after:
1. Broke Great Lakes contract
2. Got fired at a banner towing company down in PR.
3. Got fired in a Pr airline because he was doing P51 with their airplanes.
4. Got fired at Seaborne last week.
He's a trouble maker and already have a class date at PSA.

Still gotta make it thru 121 airline training and background checks etc. getting hired is nothing, performing is everything.

So is there an absolute zero checking of anything in the PSA hiring process? Drop a dime on him, LOL??
Either you are saying this guy has a class date and the hiring people didn't catch it, or they did and don't care. Can you clarify your position? Oh and big boy answers, please. We all understand PRIA.

I'm not talking about how they are sellouts in terms of being undercutting scab like juveniles. That is already established.
They are sellouts as well in that they are putting anyone with a pulse in their new hire classes and trying to get them through. People will die and I wonder what they will ever say next. Let their conscience lay heavy on them when it does, because each and every one of those selfish juveniles is responsible, no matter what their mommy and daddy told little prince wumpums.

Just because there is a shortage of pilots doesn't make it okay to hire anyone with a pulse, ala PSA and Mesa.

Nope. Not true at all. Quite a few regionals, as desperate as they all are, will not lower their standards and subject their passengers to increased risk because they hired a tool. Envoy is one of them. Skywest has been picky as well, and they need pilots pretty bad.

I was hired at eagle in mid 2007 without an interview and $5000 sign on bonus that I believe was exclusive to my flight school. Granted I'm God's gift to aviation but they've hired a bunch of 300 hour newbies with the ink still wet on their certificates. Real selective huh? All regionals are the same since I see tools from all airlines on apc, mine included.

But, yes, tools unfortunately fell through the cracks here like anywhere, but luckily the cracks seem to be narrower here.
