Training Footprint/FO Training Advice

When there were SVs, there was a study guide with systems questions, rest of help was to be obtained through practical application of CRM.

Yeah, whomever you're getting your information from is wrong. I'd bet it's from someone that hasn't been with the company in years.

Read his post, argue the facts. He clearly has no idea how KVs are commonly done. I am well aware how Envoy recently changed theirs, he seems to think FAA has a problem with open book KV.

Doesn't matter which airline, when someone posts wrong information, it's worth correcting.

"Envoy recently changed theirs" - made me think, that was what... close to 4 years ago now? Sky didn't fall.
I still remember the shock of some of the other airline refugees when they found out that the Envoy first recurrent isn't a "welcome you with open arms, gentle kiss on the left buttcheek, and send you on your way" type of an affair and there was a healthy percentage of probies washing out. Again, that's how it is here.
"wrong information" in general - while I have a thing or two to say about that, I won't, not the right medium for it.

Went to orientation 4/11, gone over the study guide many times. I have the flows, memory items, limitations down pretty well. I study those daily. I feel pretty good about the AP/GP modes as well. I don't start Indoc until 5/20. Anything else anyone suggests? Seems like I could be doing more with all this free time. Would it be worth it to login into Comply365 and start reading the FOM/AOM?

Definitely suggest having flows, profiles and maneuvers down pat. Work on chair flying with cockpit posters for muscle memory. Things definitely get different first time in the sim finally flipping switches and doing your first V1 cut. Having a good base of that makes other things more digestible in the lesson. 2 different airlines and that way of thinking has benefited me greatly.
