Hiring / class pauses
#351
Some people got into this career just for the paycheck, because it's "better than X job I had before", or some other reason than actually having a passion for it, and they end up miserable, *****ing and complaining about everything. They are compelled to make everyone else miserable. It's a consistant template.

The United and Delta pilots remain adamant that they will continue hiring full bore next year. I have reasons to doubt that but if true it stands to reason that American will hire as well. Big 3 hiring, in that case, should create enough attrition at Envoy to necessitate classes. I would expect preference to be given to cadets regardless if it's legally required or not since not doing so would diminish the value of the program.

At this time we don’t have a definite time frame to give anyone. We will send you an email and a phone call when we are ready to schedule you for basic INDOC class. So sorry for the inconvenience.

Had a friend go through recurrent last week and they were saying get comfortable wherever you are at and they they are only working on qualified upgrades for now. Also I think hiring picks up people will be hesitant to leave envoy and go on the bottom of another airlines seniority list so even if hiring picks up it may not be at the rate we would like it to.
