They are compelled to make everyone else miserable. It's a consistant template.

This type of behavior is certainly not unique to Envoy. We joke that airlines hire until they furlough but there is a strong element of truth to the aphorism. It would be nice if hiring departments would at least abstain from this behavior within the traditional two weeks notice window. Many a pilot has found herself without a chair when the music stops due to having a class cancelled at the last minute and being unable to return to his prior job. I hope that isn't the case for this poster.

The United and Delta pilots remain adamant that they will continue hiring full bore next year. I have reasons to doubt that but if true it stands to reason that American will hire as well. Big 3 hiring, in that case, should create enough attrition at Envoy to necessitate classes. I would expect preference to be given to cadets regardless if it's legally required or not since not doing so would diminish the value of the program.

Smile The picture of the twins is priceless

They should have used the twins from The Shining. That would have been at least funny.

Is anyone hearing anything from recruiting on this, outside of what was sent over by the VP of flight ops?

Seems like they aren't communicating much with all of the pilots they gave CJOs to.

This is the most recent email from class prep team to a fellow pilot with CJO:

At this time we don’t have a definite time frame to give anyone. We will send you an email and a phone call when we are ready to schedule you for basic INDOC class. So sorry for the inconvenience.

Had a friend go through recurrent last week and they were saying get comfortable wherever you are at and they they are only working on qualified upgrades for now. Also I think hiring picks up people will be hesitant to leave envoy and go on the bottom of another airlines seniority list so even if hiring picks up it may not be at the rate we would like it to.

There's no more off the street hiring until next year, supposedly.
