That's an easy no-vote. Ric, Jane, Pappi, and Bartle will do whatever they can to make this as unfriendly to pilots as possible. Losing DTS is massive. They could have made this vacation blind for at least two years, but why would they ever want to do anything to help the pilots? PBS gets Ric a seamless transition, no training and vacation conflict drops, the need for fewer reserves, and the excuse of "we are implementing things and still adjusting" for a long time to come. As the Trojan saying goes, "I fear the Greeks even when bearing gifts

Looks like envoy officially stop hiring based on an email we just got. They did say that Cadets will be the first placed into FO training before they place any street hires into class. Not sure what this means for the rest of this year but not great.

Email makes it sound like not resuming hiring until next year

In that same PS statement he says he remains hopeful that “some form of mainline pilot hiring will resume next year,” which says to me that the rest of this year is out entirely, and hopefully it’ll pick back up sometime next year.

Yeah I asked the Class Prep team and they said that they are "stopping hiring and training at this time." They also confirmed that the cadets they have in the current class pool que will be placed into training classes first. With UA, DL, and AA starting classes in January I wouldn't be surprised if envoy has classes still later this year but not gonna be too hopeful about it.

nice so us off the street FOs who got told 6 days prior to being put on payroll our orientation was cancelled, then told we'd have class priority over later orientations were straight up lied to and pushed to the back of the line behind numerous cadets who interviewed prior to the date I recieved my CJO. Really great communiction from the training and class prep departments. really makes me excited to start and do my absolute best for the company

Don't assume that "ohh they knew all along". "They" didn't for the simple reason that the current truth of the week tends to change daily when the things are fluid.
What might be true as of this morning might change by tomorrow, or by tonight. And sometimes it does. Does that suck? Sure does. But the victim mentality will hinder you, should you choose to pursue this.
Your job (and everything that comes with it) will remain the same, but the attitude makes the difference between "it's alright" and "I hate it".
Take it for what it's worth.
