he was an off the street FO. He was told that they will be scheduling in order of cancelled orientation (May first; then June, etc) and the breakdown within orientation is by cadet, DEC, off the street FO. Our girlfriend who did ATPCTP with us who was also in May 9th got a 6/20 INDOC date. She was a cadet. Hope this helps!

Quick question about those who attended orientation dated May 9th / started indoc: Do we have any information on which bases they got assigned? We are thinking of moving to Dallas and schools there open much sooner than they do in my current state of residence so we need to plan ahead of time. Any information is much appreciated.

Well, I am a cadet, was in the 5/9 class, and in the voicemail they left me when they told me the 5/9 orientation was canceled, they said a 6/20 date. But I have emailed several times since, and have only gotten the canned reply, and I got no details about the 6/20, so I’m not planning on being there tomorrow.. Do you know if they reached back out to her about 6/20? Did they arrange travel or hotel or anything?

I heard Envoy is sending over 20 sim instructors out to fly the line in July and August with training expected to pick up in September. It takes about a month to get from day 1 of Indoc to the sims, so hopefully classes will pick up again by the beginning of August.
I also heard Envoy thinks they have hired all the pilots they need for the rest of the year. There are a lot of FOs with around 1,000 hours now so the push for DECs is over. This means pilots are unlikely to be pushed to the back of the line when DECs apply, but some people might be waiting until the end of the year for class dates. Unless enough people get jobs somewhere else and they have to start interviewing again.
When the legacy airlines start hiring lots of pilots again, Envoy will also have to spool up training. Meanwhile they are going to keep you hanging until they need you because they know they can easily hire another pilot if necessary. Just remember it's not personal. A business mostly cares about the numbers.
Keep in mind this is rumors gleaned from the Envoy training department and my personal opinion.

I know regionals are a different beast, but if I have a CJO with no class dates yet, should I be worried?

Likely means the company as it is right now (including people already in the school house) is well staffed. As of May this year, we hired over 300 pilots this year and according to the latest ALPA email, over 100 FOs are CA upgrade eligible (950hrs and up). If the company chooses to, they can displace high time FO to CA positions which would further back up the training department with upgrade training. I wouldn't expect FO hiring to pick up until September/October.
