I meet and exceed the qualifications for DEC.
The question is what will be the second year pay be?
I have been with the FAA as an ASI so
I haven’t flown in 3 years. 5 types and no
Skeletons in the closet.

If you came over right now, you'd be looking at $69/hr under the 2020 pay scales. And stuck on RSV forever.

Stay where you are. You have a good retirement and a job that keeps you home at night. If you want to fly, rent a 172. We have no retirement to speak of, we are shrinking our NY base, and American isn't stable (IMO).

With a resume like that why not go for Spirit, Jet Blue, or Frontier? Even Southwest only wants 2,500 total time.

I'm sure he is, but in the meantime if he gets a couple hundred hours recent PIC under his belt and a fresh long term, he's a lot more likely to get those calls.
