Envoy 2019
1. Why not wait until Q3 vacancy for that? Perhaps gearing up for LAX through flying for the summer/fall?
2.Is a split base/satellite base operating for AA btw CPZ/ENY possible?
3. Does the (5 or 6) new gates at DFW to split btw Envoy & Mesa warrant this kind of growth in DFW ENY flight crews?
4. Perhaps Mgmt is playing into our overall LAX anticipation/pipe dream to recruit more star-eyed FO’s & DECs for cheap? How about that for an unveiling late summer/fall.

It's now about 2 months after IOE, they are hiring faster than the new planes are showing up. Don't get me wrong, I don't think it ever reaches 145 levels, but it will go up a bit.

Occam's Razor right here. Maybe it's just that the company knows their staffing needs better than we do, and their decisions actually make sense.

We’ll see, I’d imagine it’s gonna stay low. I’m barely 3 weeks into reserve and a guy in the class ahead of me was awarded a composite line for April. But I agree with your other post, I’m sure the company is much more privy to what they need coming up.

Oh come on now. DECs are not cheap, and most FO's are cadets and RTPs. I doubt a rumored base moves the new hire numbers by any measurable amount.
