They won't drop the last or first day because they don't want you scheduled for 6 days in a row. If you start day 1 with 4 AM RAP (default schedule) they can't work you past 10PM on day 6. So their solution is to give you 4 on, 1 off, 2 on (or something similar). Bonus, since you now have a transition day off, they can extend you into an overnight and not give you a return day.

I’ll let you in on a little secret that works EVERY time. Don’t select the transition in the bid packet. They don’t dock you pay for reserve TLs.
I probably have 20-25 TLs from reserve and not once did they dock me pay and I never selected the transition option.

So there's an option to select transition and they will pay you for time lost due to legalities. If you don't select it you will still be removed due to legalities. Why is there an option to basically "pay me less if I don't select this"?
