I recognize the person, long story short, I’ve had issues with this person specifically on another commute. Decide to look at the standby list on the previous flights today and it appears that any D2 should have gotten on.
Ive heard of ways to alter ones sign in time to bump them up the list. Anyway to confirm this? Or if it had been done?
Out of curiosity, how long was it after you checked in did it say you are number 1? It often takes 60 seconds for the list to sort itself out once check in opens. I have heard this is because people are checking in in different geographical areas, and it takes a few moments for the time stamp to order itsself correctly.

I have heard that rumor too, but have also heard it debunked by some of my friends whom used to work in RES. What is more likely, is that person was checked in to a different city, and when they didn’t make the flight, asked the GA to change destinations, and was rolled to your flight. This is allowed per the trip book.

Line holder, flight got cancelled now we’re stuck in LaGarbage with no hotel. API is showing pending but nothing confirmed for the last 2 hours. Hotel desk was no help. Is there anything we can do other than refreshing API every 5 seconds??

I’ve been waiting for 4 1/2 hours, called multiple times with no help. This is ridiculous and unprofessional. We need a new hotel provider.

Get your own hotel and submit a receipt.

Call the CPO after hours and tell them. Also, call CS and tell em to move your morning flight, once you get to the hotel.

No tell CS that you will not be available for your next flight because you are still on duty since you have no hotel and that you will be off duty when and your rest will begin when you call them from your hotel room.

The company is getting ripped off by API. It's in their best interest to act on replacing them or demanding better service.

Call crew scheduling once you get to your room. You need 8 hours opportunity to sleep before your next duty period starting. That’s 8 hours actual sleep not 8 hours including shower, shaving etc.

This worked well a while back. "We're working on it, did you send an RF? Could you send it again?" turned into "here's your hotel" 2 minutes after a phone call when we were pushing into min rest.
