Not really. It is not completely uncommon. Yes, there is certainly out of pocket to pay back the taxes until you can file. But if you make it through IOE, no black mark at all, especially if you continue with a normal progression at your next place. Obviously you have to explain why you are leaving ENY for XYZ to even get hired. If you can say it is better for your personal situation, it is not a problem.

After I’m done having people wait on me hand and foot, I’m also tons of fun at parties.

I've used that qualifier so many times I've lost count already.
That's not the theme. The theme is that Envoy CAN be good for you. I try only to comment when someone posts garbage like "we have the WORST <insert whatever you want here>", painting the whole airline with the same brush. I have no problem if someone complains about the airline not being a fit for their personal situation. But claiming the airline is a dumpster fire because of it is just plain wrong.

Anyone coming on today should know that not only can the be relegated to the waisted career land people are calling the 145, but also that even if they do get the 175, our contract... and Envoy’s contract with AAG that involves last pick of the scraps... means that they have little protection having meaningful QOL and pay.
You want pay and QOL and think you need flow... PLEASE, do yourself a favor and go to PSA. Don’t need flow (YOU DON’T), go to Endeavor, Republic, or Skywest. Have to wait on a class for them? Come here while you wait, but don’t spend your bonus. Then go.

But to say that everyone hired today will have a good experience because I did is so dishonest it’s ridiculous and why you have such a ridiculously difficult time putting yourself in other’s shoes is bewildering. Times and circumstances have chanced since I was a new hire

You guys also are totally detached from the fact, that some new hires are enjoying this job, and Envoy is a great fit for them.
This "Envoy's contract with AAG that involves last pick of the scraps" is another fake news "fact" people repeat here. I can't help you if you believe that AAG just posts a bunch of flights available for grabs, and regionals pick them up in some preassigned order, like a pro sports draft.
I'm sure Vasu etc keep saying "oh crap, Skywest took that route, now we can only sell 70 seats on that route".
Is that why we got a good bunch of the super productive daytrip lines for June? Some of them from Mesa. I'm sure the senior guys who can hold them aren't complaining about 18-19 days off and 90+ hours of credit, and home every night.
They are also great picks off P2P (plenty of them available). Not bad to go to work for a turn and credit close to 7-8 hours.

I've never said everyone hired today will have a good experience. Please stop putting words in my mouth.

Well regionals work by cost and on-time performance...Skywest has one of the cheapest costs for AA, thus they go first...kinda like a draft but the cheapest go first not the mvp most expensive best player lol...there wholly owned are just that owned...thus they dont bid or place an offer like a third party airline...if you think wholly owned gets first pick you are out of your mind...its all money and envoy operations are more expensive...note skywest pays for envoy rampers and agents etc.
Let's face it. No-one here has ANY idea who is the cheapest, or most expensive, of the regionals. You just make sh*t up to sound like you know who does what and why.

As to the rest, sounds like a lot of 175 bs to me. But that’s alright. EVERYONE gets 175 nowadays, right?
