Happen all the time. Young kid get hired by envoy and told in indoc he be at AA in 5 years. Kid join cheerleading team then bash everyone on chat board with negative opinion of envoy. After 5 years of getting beat up with worst QOL in airlines and kid dont flow, los turn against envoy and start making bad comments on them. Why you want to work at AA anyway? They have biggest debt, lowest profit, cheap looking brand. Jetblue frontier or spirit better options than AA.

And worst QOL? I live in base, my QOL is great.
Your mileage may vary.

I can help you by saying you need to take off cheerleader costume pronto. If you hired at Envoy after 2011, flow is big time gamble. Trust me. QOL at envoy worst of all regionals.

The 175 is like a completely different airline. The amount of NH's getting assigned the 145, and the impending 145 vacancies from 2017 NH's upgrading should give someone interested in Envoy a lot of pause.
If you have a degree, you should really be looking elsewhere. Go to an airline you can fly a ton in 2 years and get picked up off the street.

He's not far from the truth. If you are commuter on reserve, envoy isn't a good deal. If you get the 145 or CRJ, envoy isn't a good deal.

The majority of our new hires come here pretty confident they'll get the 175, bid to their preferred base in training, and go straight to the line or sit reserve for like 3 months out of training. However, the 145 is our biggest fleet, has 1 yr+ reserve in our most junior base, and w/in the last year took 9 mos to get to DFW on.
I would unreservedly recommend Envoy only to guys who have orders in their back pocket. Do indoc week (bid for whatever, doesn't matter - take a CRJ slot off the board plz), drop orders, and come back as a lineholder on the 175. Everyone else should consider carefully how you will deal with a year of reserve in NYC if you lose the day 1 lottery. Envoy loves doing all 145 classes. Cadet status is not a golden ticket anymore.

Reserve ain't bad, if you don't commute. But if you do, get ready for some "crew scheduling special love sauce". Nothing like commuting to a month of S1.

Can't disagree with any of these points. I think I'm going to add a disclaimer to every post I make: "These comments are only valid for someone who got lucky day 1, and lives in base".
