There are a large number of retirements in the coming years, but this current bubble is making up for the last two or so years of retirements and early Covid retirements with no hiring. Once those Covid years are made up, things will taper off to a more manageable and consistent level.

Are you already flying at least 135?

Coming to Envoy has always been a roll of the dice. They’ll do 6 all 175 classes followed by an all 145.

“..expect the EMJ to be around for the next few years.” is the important part of that statement.
The plan has been for the 145s to be parked in favor of 175s (170s) for some time, but AAG doesn’t want to put out the money to do so. They want FFD carriers like SKW and RPA to buy them, which is what has been happening as of late.
BTW, the original quote by Chato came from a recent union communication.

That statement should read “Currently, we are not aware of any immediate plans to park the fleet (145) fully and expect the EMJ to be around for the next few years.”

Yes, the EMJ is one of MANY ways the 145 is referred to by Envoy. Depends which section is referring to it. It can be very confusing without the context of know what the OTHER plane is referred to by that particular group. The 175 has just as many names as well, by the same groups, but generally PILOT documents refer to the 145 as EMJ and 175 as ERJ, which is what the type rating shows.
Embraer actually refers to the 145 as the ERJ145 and the 175 as just the E175.
