Look at the bright side. At least you start getting paid after orientation.

Until I came to work here I legit thought it was impossible to hold a cushy office job while being so consistently lazy and incompetent, but it's the majority of the people here. Very frustrating knowing our good performance on the line accidentally reflects positively on these people.

I'm on about the same boat, scheduled for orientation on the 10th, finishing up the ATP CTP just before, hoping to get a class date sometime soon. Couple people I've talked to had luck and got put in a class about two weeks after their orientation, but some got split from the original orientation "class" and ended up being in a smaller class after.

It's insane how low the standards are for the back office people here. They'd never get away with it in any other industry. With a few exceptions, everyone who isn't on the flight line here is a literal useless eater/parasite shuffling paper around and collecting a paycheck. You could hire 1-2 normal guys 8 hours a day to run some of these departments and they'd blow the current bloated teams out of the water.

Envoy wasn't a bad place to work when the music was playing but at the first hint of COVID troubles, the lack of leadership was shocking. First month of COVID, no-one even in management knew where Pedro was. He just chose not to show up to work. He sent exactly one (1) email about COVID in 2020, which was 90% a copy paste from Doug Parkers email.
And don't even get me started on how the head of legal for an airline did not know that pilots dequalify after being furloughed.
Or how the head of finance did not know how pilots are paid and what a pilot training event costs.
Or how the person in charge of PRIA did not know how to fill PRIA requests, so she just sent back empty forms with a signature. Lots of good stories...

I think there were around 40 something in the Feb orientation. Of the people I knew there, all the cadets got assigned the 3/7 class later that day via email. Then every one of us got a call the next day pushing us back to 3/21. None of the non-cadets have received a call about a class date yet.

It just is what it is. I appreciate the intel.

From the orientation today, seems like most if not all new-hires are going to be on the 175, with the next new hire classes being 3/21, 4/4, 4/18, and 5/2. It seems they are doing them every other Monday.
Also told the wait-time for IOE is about a week, so it seems like we're not going to be backed up for too long.
