Unless you’ve had a flight cancellation at some point in the month. In which case you lose anything you have over blocked until you have exceeded the block of the cancellation. Envoy pay protection is not leg by leg, but based on the monthly line guarantee.

I assume that ORD is the most junior base on the ERJ? How long would it take someone to be able to hold MIA 175 FO? What are the chances of at least staying off the ERJ for any base if you come in with over 1000 previous 121 experience? I know the cadets get first pick on class base drops, but where do guys that come in with previous experience stand?

You’re rolling the dice first day of class. You could very well get the 145 and thats a whole different airline, wont be able to hold MIA 175 until you upgrade into it whenever that would be many years down the road.
The way I see it now, they prob have a line of cadets waiting on a class date.

All FO’s are seat locked to their airplane. The only way you’re switching planes is if you upgrade or get displaced due to a base closure/downsize.
And for what it’s worth, OT opportunities seem to be much more plentiful on the 145, so the potential exists to make more money on it.
