If you have 121 time, you aren't going to stay on the 175 for enough time for it to matter. You're going to be a 145 CA for years. Probably in LGA.

On reserve... with min monthly guarantee... and 11 days off... a couple of which you will use to commute home.

Thanks for the response, but is there any facts or actual times on files where shows how long it took for the most junior pilot to get awarded ca in the 175

The problem with your question is that it has several correct answers. It happens to be a moving target.

I remember a year ago or less, that a DEC got it in training. They didn't keep it though as they were soon displaced off of it on the next bid. There was a 1500'ish ORD Captain that just got removed from the 175 as well for not being senior enough. Dallas trends more senior.

So, if I had to say, as a guess, you are looking at the sub 1500 realm to get awarded and being able to actually hold the aircraft through a vacancy bid. There are others here, dera that would probably be able to nail down the exact number for you. 1500 hundred will most likely be the 2-2.5 year mark for a new hire.

Looks like March 18 hire for ORD and Sep 17 hire for DFW. However they, as well as several senior to them by several months have another status that will displace them, either DFW to ORD or some to the 145. Maybe still in DFW, some 145 to other bases.

This month the junior line holder on 175 in DFW is a mid March 2017 hire.

If there really are that many resignations, it might go down, but it was still going up last HARD info I had, (training flow plan and seniority list).

That is the “fluid” part. If you are on the edge, you can easily bump up or down. May hold a line or not. Or may keep a status or not as new bids are awarded.

It was 1700 in DFW, but we're waiting for the next bid to close and be run. Check back 2nd week of February.

If you want the 175 so bad though, what about Republic?

Yeah I asked in real life, unless I was fed some bad info.

When republic got their raises by the time I was a new hire all the lifers and people on the fence about leaving stayed because their contract got so good and I don’t blame them. But because of that, it creates stagnation. And I am trying to get to a major, not stick around for the regionals.
