MLI. Attached to a full gym which we have access too. Ask the front desk, thus is nit the little fitness room by the pool. Good breakfast, fantastic breweries nearby.

ALO. This is a contraversial pick. Hotel is terrible. Really bad. But you have access to a full on rec center just two blocks away. They have everything.

The hate list:
GSO
CMI, have no idea why people like this dump
SGF, lots if food nearby, but everything else sucks
DFW, every hotel.... crap
There is one hotel at DFW I like. Free beverage at night and good free breakfast. Pretty good gym.

LSE- downtown, lots of cool bars close and a nice hotel. Right on the Mississippi for a nice place to walk/fun. And during Christmas they have a cool light display. Not sure if we are still there
FSD- Downtown. Restaurants and bars. Falls close by to explore. Hotel is ok
ALO- Was already mentioned. I’m a fan, but I’m one to enjoy all the dive bars. And don’t forget the strip club across the street! Only went once, on NYE, had a decent line up..... for Iowa lol.
VPS, SUX & FAR- as previously briefed
CVG- downtown if you are there long enough. Walking distance from Germantown or whatever it’s called. Baseball stadium close. Hotel is ok, not the best.
SAV- hotel is good but not downtown. If you can get downtown it’s cool
JAX- shopping close. Hotel decent. I like the pool and rest/bar inside the hotel
CMH- just for the 1 2 3 deal at the hotel bar
NAS, FPO, & EYW- but I don’t believe we don’t do these currently

Hate list:
CID
MGM
TXK
DFW
BUF
IND
GRB

Second the FSD overnight. A very unique hotel in a great location downtown with an Irish pub downstairs. Any length of time and there is much sightseeing to be had. Very scenic part of the country.

This one is under the radar - CLE is quite good, especially if you have some time. Head to the airport and take the train downtown and 25 minutes later you're right next to the Indians stadium and the Cavaliers arena. Seatgeek a ticket and you have yourself a fantastic time. Otherwise go to one of the many bars downtown, or go to the mall across the street if you don't want to take the train.

OKC is a good one, hotel is great, transportation has been inconsistent lately, but hotel van will take you downtown or Bricktown, minor league stadium and other places around.

TUL is similar but with better transport and no minor league venue that I know of.

Other favorites are ABQ, ELP, PNS, PWM and SLT (haven't done a few of these in awhile but they're out there somewhere in the system).

Nope...... Pretty obvious it’s Envoy when there’s a sign by the restaurant in the morning that reads “Envoy”. If you blend in you get free breakfast.

GSO isn’t really that bad. 9 dollar lunch chicken hibachi across the street and the Mexican restaurants have been really good with cheap food and beer.

I'll break it into a few categories. Some of these hotels rotate throughout the year with SKYW, RPA etc taking it sometime and different planes getting it throughout the year. Some of these aren't regular overnights anymore but we still fly to them and you're a broken plane away

1) I want to drink micro beers with fellow snobs and see neat downtown structures

FSD- underrated city, the falls are legit
OMA-downtown with tons of shops and exposed brick bars
MLI- craft beer along the Mississippi
DBQ-downtown and eastern Iowa loves Victorian structures
OKC- bricktown down the road, free happy hour at hotel
GJT- nice hotel and mountain town
DRO- hang out at the chalet with ski bums and cowboys
RAP- downtown at the Grand Budapest hotel
FAR- nice hotel, miss walleye sandwiches and bingo at Lucky's though
DAY- drink local brews on Oregon St, nerd out at the museum
BTV- short trip downtown to drink with almost canadian beer snobs
TVC- beer, wine and cherries flow in pure Michigan
TUL- nice downtown hotel
FWA- downtown beer and baseball, underrated
MEM- southern comfort food all over, not Beale St like old days though
SDF- big upgrade from old days, whiskey samplers everywhere
SPI- stay at the tallest building in the city, Abe Lincoln tributes abound
SUX- great hotel, gamble or enjoy the riverfront, your choice
SAF- food and 200 year old adobe structures all over downtown
PBC- personal favorite, awesome street food and spanish conquistador gold churches everywhere

2) Screw craft beer and neat buildings, I want cheap drinks and a bunch of 20 somethings to enjoy them with.

MSN-State Street next to the hotel
MHK-K-State college bars, $20 covers the night
LSE- more bars than residents
GNV-UF bars everywhere
EYW-haven't had it in awhile Duval street memories live on forever
NAS-Cruise ships and Senior Frog's
FPO-same as NAS but a private beach via boat ride
VPS-beach
MIA-not the Sherry but similar fun can be found with a short Uber ride
CVG-long stay next to Germantown, cross the river for baseball

3) All others seem to fall into 3ish star locations next to the airport or malls. The hotel chain changes but the surrounding area stays the same. A lot of DFW overnights fit into this category

KCMH - the short Hotel only. The rush of getting mugged is adrenaline rushing.

KSYR - the plants growing out of the vents create an amazing ambience. And the room humidity is relaxing.

KBUF - you can take a selfie with the creepy statue and eat a breakfast that taste like nothing.

KIND - only a few miles from all the drug houses. So if you need to make extra cash.....

Just a few if my faves.
