Predictions on next vacancy/displacement bid?

My guess is no vacancy bid. I have a feeling the last bid was the last one we will see for a while. If you go look at the latest flowplan, all the newhires that are eligible to upgrade are being awarded NCE immediately. They dont need to run another bid to “capture” the eligible upgrades. This cuts down on training bloat. This place has a knack for finding creative ways to stick it to the pilot group.

RW said end of this month, to be run first/2nd week next month. Pretty much exactly 3 months since the last bid.
Skip0927, your predictions makes no sense, There’s already going to be a bunch of grievances filed from FO’s that meet upgraded requirements since the last vacancy bid based on new hires being sent to CA training prior to the next vacancy bid.

My point was they upgraded everyone they could at the last bid. Eventually they will need to run another bid, but with them displacing training center guys, thereby reducing training capacity, I dont see them running a bid that could entail more displacements and movement. They have it just how they want it and no will just use street captains to fill in the holes. I think its BS but I do believe that is what the gameplan looks like.
Lets remember about RWs comments. Something about massive expansion at ORD and lines coming out the wazoo. What is said and what happens is purely fiction.
I hope I’m wrong and its all rainbows and sunshine. I’m just thinking how will they minimize the training bloat in a time of shortage during the summer.
And FO grievances....
File away, in 4 years we will settle for 10 cents on the dollar.

It’s simple numbers, as bigtime wrote above, they’re short on CA’s. They’re flowing 25 a month and losing maybe a little more than that. CA’s must continue to upgrade.

Ya know Havick. I’ve been around alot longer than 4 months. 2, at one point I was licensed for tax advice, seriously. 3 the forums are a means to share viewpoints. So if you dont like mine, thats cool. But to chop me down because I offered a view seems short sighted. My hope is that they run bids constantly and I can move and get to the base equipment status I want. Ive just been around long enough to have seen how Eagle/Envoy/AMR/AAG run their shenanigans.
At what length of service should i return to post? I want to make sure the forum gods view me as worthy....

In all seriousness though the vacancy bids have been every quarter if you look back. RW’s last prediction/date of the bids were spot on and they’re short CA’s so there’s no reason to doubt this one.
I guess we wil know in 2 weeks.

As far as grievances go, I would give the advice of this.
The company began awarding and training captains out of seniority order not long ago. There is an adundance of guys senior to the group of new hires who have already begun receiving capt pay. If you are an FO in or awaiting upgrade training, reach out to your ALPA reps and ask about being pay protected because the company went out of seniority order.
