Yeah but you gotta get to AA first.

reckon one of those young guys would help an old man up the stairs at AA HQ through training?

Not to mention in those 70 person classes Envoy was running, a cadet that was in your Envoy new hire class, could flow 3 months before you. Thereby putting the original aspect in effect of a sub 30 year old ahead of you for life on the AA seniority list.

This stuff about a young guy being more senior to you is absurd. What about the young guy in the class just two weeks prior. You gonna get bent over him too? (and I'm one of the old ones)

To the rest of the issues with HVA, I'm with yah though.

Another note to the OP... Remember that people flowing now endured five years of industry stagnation following the passage of the age 65 rule. Subtract that five years and an 11 Year pilot would possibly have only needed six years to flow (even though most weren’t even part of the flow when hired...but assuming AA employed a similar strategy but on an earlier timeline under the Age 60 rule).

This is true, it had a huge effect.

Can someone tell me the junior line holder DOH for each base? I did a search and didn't see anything recent. Just wondering how long I can expect to be on reserve.

Thanks in advance.

3U/base/seat/Eq/d

Or are you on property yet? B/c if you aren’t even hired yet it all can change. In a matter of months. But a good rule of thumb right now for a new hire with no 121 time is about 3/6 months.

I haven't been hired yet, but interview soon. Do you mean 3 to 6 months after hitting the line, or after showing up on property?

Hey there hasn't been anyone here that has put line holder/base information online. When I get some time I'll go and put that information together. I'll post it here and PM you.

Most junior lineholder in ORD on the 145 is an early July 2017 hire. Reserve time is RAPIDLY increasing across all bases as we are extremely overstaffed on the FO side. ORD 145 alone has 210% reserve coverage.
