Or they have enough people in the pool for the next couple of months and they don't want to waste time and effort doing a job they've got covered at the moment.

Sitting in a hiring pool for a regional right now is a colossal waste of time that no self-respecting recruit should settle for. Save for the ones that have personal reasons to be here, that pool won’t just stay full.

If you are awarded your preference and get a 24 month training seatlock, you can still change domiciles as long as the seat is the same, correct? Just has to do with the training for that seat.
