After interviewing with all three a few months back, I seem to recall that both PSA and Republic were offering 4 paid hotel nights per month. I don't remember that ever being mentioned while at Endeavor. Unfortunately, I'm away from home for the next month, otherwise I could go back and check my notes.

Now since 9E is involved in this thread I'll recount what happened to them. Feb 2011 9E gets a new JCBA that is above average at the time in terms of pay and work rules. Nov-Dec 2011 the 9E CEO at the time asks mainline partners for more money to support high labor costs supposedly from the new JCBA. Mainlines say no. April 2012, 9E enters Chpt 11 and later gets hit with a horrible concessionary contract (though it could have been worse). Delta buys what's left for pennies on the dollar and turns it into todays Endeavor after a good 2 years plus of pain and uncertainty for it's employees.

See the potential correlatives between the two carriers? I am not saying RAH will go Chpt 11, but the possibility is there. If they do, then what? Junior pilots bail, they shrink, park airplanes just like 9E. Question then would be if any mainline partner buys what's left of them to fix them like Delta did 9E? RAH plays with all the big 3 airlines so WORST case no one bails em out and the place implodes followed by its doors being shuttered.

To conclude, RAH is a perceived risk and that's why people say to avoid the place. This industry, as we know, can change rapidly. Based on today's info (and I may be biased being a 9E employee), but between the two trying to put bias aside, 9E is the safer option. We've been through the pain and turmoil of this regional consolidation already. For RAH, it could just be the beginning. Good luck with your choice.
AWAC would buy the remainder of RAH

I hate to hijack this thread, but rather than make another endeavor thread I figured I'd ask on here and see if anyone bites.

I have been reading both Envoy and Endeavor threads for some time now, but I might as well just ask my question directly. What are people's opinion on Envoy vs. Endeavor. The pay is obviously better at Endeavor, but in many respects the future looks bright for Envoy new hires as long as they get pilots. Does it hold the same promise for a new hire at Endeavor? Bases aren't a factor as relocating would be relatively easy.

In what ways? Endeavor has a good contract and good pay. In addition, they are expanding. It seems like things will continue to be good at Endeavor, but like any airline, things can turn on a dime. You need to make your decision based on what is happening now, not on rumors etc.

Republic isnt bad. Never sat a day of reserve in my time here. I have 15 days off this month. I usually credit around 95 hours with about 78 hours block time. Any time you are are asked to pick up you can get a feee hotel and deadhead to base if needed plus its at 150% pay. Classes are full through like March of 2016 and continuing to fill. Plus you get to fly the E175 which is far superior to other regional aircraft.

If you have any specific questions let me know.

Not saying endeavor is bad but I've enjoyed my time at Republic.
