Do you have 2 flights that you can use from home to base that get you in before either 645 am local(DTW/MSP) or 7 am (LGA/JFK)? otherwise you have to use that first flight of your 2 for the commuter policy the night before.... that's why I said that was a benefit for only P2 (maybe P3 too) commuters... that didn't cost the company a penny to offer.... ALPA calls that a reserve improvement to parallel the lineholder improvemnets. A no cost item that helps about 5 pilots per position at best....( and doesn't earn them an extra cent in pay)

Pretty easy from what I hear, if i'm correct there's a shuttle between BOS-LGA that runs every hour. Starts pretty early and terminates pretty late, along with other airline choices probably. I commute from out west to DTW so you'll have to do a little research to be sure. Just put the city pairs in flightaware and you should see what operates. The only time the schedules are a little different are on Saturdays.

As I understand it, it's $30/hr at 75 hrs/mo (27k), plus a 3k training bonus, plus the 20k retention pay. Then in second year, retention pay kicks up to $23k and hourly rate is $33...third year, $37/hr, 23k retention...that's north of $157,000 your first year just at mins.
If the upgrades happen in three years or less, you'll move to the left seat and make 40% more as a captain. Sounds rather intriguing.
The company also mentioned adding airplanes. That could make that 3yr upgrade a reality. Many current 9E'ers who've been there a long time as FOs will quickly jump on this and say it'll never happen...but keep in mind, 9E didn't do much hiring from 2010-2013, so once they upgrade their remaining 7-9 year FOs, the movement will be very quick.

It was enough for me to make the switch. Not much less than I was making as captain 135. Not that long ago that was 1st year regional captain pay.
It's still yet to be seen as I'm not out of training yet, but I expect QOL to be better also, that was one of the bigger deciding factors to get into 121.
