It's at the company's discretion. Hopefully, if they have to up the training bonus they up everyone else's retention bonus too.

I am a July hire and JFK based. I should have a line in February. There are 4 people in front of me for January.

Things are moving quickly it seems like, but it's true that things change month to month.

Something to keep in mind if they do go to 10k bonus and people are coming in the door and they can add the aircraft they want to add then two years first officers will be upgrading. Two year captain pay is $61 and you get the 23 k bonus that is more than first year with $30 per hour plus 30k in bonus. The great news is that they are finally paying pilots to come work at the regionals. This is a first and is a great sign of the tides turning.

If that's one of the owners of NAC and her pathetic chief pilot, then I'll pass on it too. All the money in the world wouldn't make me want work with them either.

Yeah, that's my feeling. The 10k provision is in the contract now...the company might as well pull that trigger sooner than later and really get the 60/month going ASAP. And, yes, good for the newbs. I'm happy for them. Sure I'd like the company to offer a similar increase for the rest of us, but I'm not gonna hate on anyone coming here.

Is it true it takes 12-18 months from DOH to get a class date like the APC page says?

It looks like that means that's the farthest out they can schedule you a class date if you get hired.

With the new LOA does anyone know how to go about trying to commute in on the day of reserve, I got a p1 reserve period on Jan 2 and just trying to avoid commuting in the night before if possible.

Not completely familiar with it, but I believe that provision was more for P2-P3 reserve. So if you're P1 reserve and your contact period starts at 0500 you would need to be at the airport by 6:45 if your call out is 1:45. Also you would need to call scheduling and let them know.
