Envoy vs Endeavor
I've been reading on these forums about the Endeavor to Delta flow and the Envoy to American flow. It seems they are both quite unreliable. I am about to start flight training in a year and will hopefully be flying for a regional soon. Just looking into what regional I would want to fly for before hopefully moving on to a legacy. Would anyone recommend going to these airlines for the flow(if they are even still around by the time I am at 1,500)? If not what is the number one deciding factor in deciding who to fly for? I wanted to go to the one with the quickest upgrade but I always see people on here saying not to chase the quick upgrade.

Endeavor does not have a flow to Delta, only a guaranteed interview which doesn't guarantee anything. Not sure about Envoys flow, Piedmont has a 10 year agreement with American to flow guys. There is no way to say what would be a good choice for when you are ready. The industry changes drastically over a year or two.

If you haven't even started flight training I wouldn't worry about the regional game yet. Focus on your training first. It will be at least three years before you get to an airline. Search posts from 2012 to see how drastically this industry has changed in that time frame.

Jesus man, who even cares about the regionals yet? Go fly and have fun doing it. There is absolutely zero point in even thinking about regional airlines yet. Literally everything will change by the time you are ready to come to a regional. Many may not exist or will have merged.

I was actually looking at that. Have they put out any info about when applications will be available?

I feel like a lot of pilots have the mindset "Once I get my CFII I will be set. Once I get hired at a regional I will be set. Once I upgrade I will be set. Once I move on to a major I will be set. Once I upgrade I at the Major I will be set" Sometimes when these things happen you risk being 45 years old and missed out on a lot of your life by only looking towards that next step. I want to encourage them to live in the moment a little more. I have to tell myself the same thing too.
But the right answer is Endeavor because that's who I work for

Way way to early to decide things can literally change over night so I think it definitely will by the time you get your required time. Work on flight training first then when you get to that bridge worry about crossing it. The Airline industry is very unpredictable and none of us truly know what airline will do the best over the years we are all trying to make and educated guess in my opinion
That's just my advice. Goodluck in flight training it will be fun ! Welcome!

I love the excitement, have to give you that much! But man/woman, I am looking at 3-5 months away and I am still keeping my options open because I know how quickly things can change. I want endeavor as of right now but in 300 hours maybe compass will be paying $100,000 first year with a 1/2 day upgrade and a guaranteed job with any legacy you want. Never know, man/woman! Just enjoy the time now because before you know it you'll be sitting right seat of an RG. Best of luck, don't fail check rides (#1 priority) and then build that time fast.
