Is upgrade expected to go down in the future? 24 months as a captain on top of waiting for upgrade...

Is Oshkosh a big event for the airlines to set up tents and recruit pilots? I think it starts next week so maybe they wanted to get this out before hand to give the recruiters more Endeavor Kool-Aid to serve.

I know Alaska Airlines is supposed to be there so assuming all the rest of them show up.

Nope, based on the Bloch quotas, it will be a bunch of Colgan pay protected fo's re-upgrading into lineholding 900 captain slots.

There is a career fair, midweek I think. I recall Alaska doing prescreen interviews there last year. 9E definitely has some good talking points, will be interesting what kind of presence the rest of the regionals come in with. I'm trying to get back this year. Love OshKosh!

The seniority list posted for 15-04 has 1540 pilots on it, the seniority from January of this year right before we started hiring had 1547 pilots on it lmao! That is pretty close to my math factoring in all of the hiring and attrition #'s given through union emails, and flight ops news and the seniority lists over the year. My math was a net gain of -2 pilots for the year with all of the hiring they are bragging about. That is including the July 6th new hires on the newest ISL and not knowing the July attrition yet. Gonna be hard to get those CRJ200's out of the desert with a net loss of 2 pilots for the year.

I think I recall a news letter saying they are painting 26 CR2's that have the new interiors. Didn't they originally say they ordered like 39 interior kits when that news came out like 1.5yrs ago?? I think we have 26 CR2's total right now. Must've returned a few kits.

Those vacancies in 15-04 will cover the movement of pilots to Delta but not gonna cover bringing in any growth.

IMHO I believe that the ETD will be back before to long! Why do you think they want to finish first round SSP interviews by this fall? They want the ETD back. The first time it didn't work, but now that everyone will soon have had their shot at the big show, enter the ETD2.

DL 900 pay rates would fix all this mess. Cancel retention bonus, cancel pilot referral payout, cancel job fair recruitment, cancel LOA 5000. One simple fix, and the pilots would march to MSP. Problem solved......slim pickings will continue.
