I've said "approach lights continue" more times this trip than in the last 2 months.

Hey folks,

Is the pilot group at EDV overall happy with QOL? How are the schedules like? Mostly 4 on/3 off, 3 on/3 off, or 4 on/2 off? Is it easy to swap, drop, give, or take? How are the staffing levels? Is there a commuter policy/clause? Do you have to pay for DL flight benefits? Can you enroll a friend on your benefits or do you have to give them buddy passes?

QOL is good if you can live with NYC for a bit.

Schedules are pretty different, I mostly do 5 days since I commute. And try to load them together as to get more days off.

Staffing levels are good, but you can't drop trips unless you're a reserve and can drop single days.

Commuter clause is two valid attempts on flights, call crew scheduling after you didn't make it on the first chance.

DL bennies are $50 for the year (IIRC)

No buddie passes and no friends, only spouse/wife, your parents and your dependents.

No buddy passes, domestic partner and think you need proof.

At least 6 months of proof with a shared lease.

I've been here a few months and was watching from afar for over a year contemplating making the jump. My only regret was not making the move sooner. I commute from the Midwest and haven't had any issues - yet. Great training team that wants you to succeed, executive team has been accessible and transparent in the limited exposure I've had to them. Just a good group of pros here.

We're growing by at least 14 airplanes this year, I believe they're coming from another DC carrier. I'm looking at about a 10 month upgrade with my previous 121 time. Excited to see what the future holds here!

But on a serious note... the LMS has yet to be put out, I think I was told this month. Then all the training has to be completed, ipads set up with software, etc. Imagine that folks with their own will slow things down some, having to trickle thru an office to get all the stuff loaded. Hard to say for sure when it will all come together.

No, It's all loaded over wifi and takes about an hour if you have your own. No need to visit the office if you bring your own, actually I'm fairly sure the one delivered to the pilots will not come preloaded. It's a fairly painless process.

Someone needs to have a sit down with the execs and teach them which button is the reply all button and you can't "recall" an email.

Yeah, dont read too much into my comment. I'm not in the know, nor have I looked at Deltanet on that matter yet. There are just certain things *I've observed* that point to a southeast base coming and 200s in NYC at least shrinking.

Such as ExpressJet announcing that they will no longer fly 200's, our acquisition of 200's "from another carrier." Flight attendant recruiting events in Atlanta, Raleigh, and Tampa this month. The union telling us at AQP last month that management keeps hinting about a southern base. Shorter training footprint for newhires who hold a CL65 type. I know nothing, but I sure see a lot of signs.

PRIA question

Wondering if anyone knows who sends my copy of my PRIA to me? I start class soon so I know it's been sent but I never got it.

aviationfrk 01-04-2017 07:10 AM

For PRIA,

If you opted to receive a copy of your pria from a previous carrier it is the responsibility of the previous carrier to duplicate and send you a copy. However, the only ones u will get are the FAA record from the FAA and training records from previous carriers. It's been a while but I don't believe you get a copy of the drug test result or driver record.
