R.G. and R.E. as well as others have said multiple times that they want New York to be all dual class airplanes. The also prefer one's with a first class lav. So even the 700 isn't desired for that market. Along with that it has been mentioned that the 200's would be phased out in 2017. I think Delta's hand was forced with the Republic bankruptcy in that they were shedding all the E145s. The 200's were brought in to keep the feed going until they start receiving their airframes

Well I'm not sure if I'd make such a bold statement? Word on the street is that Delta isn't very happy with Compass right now. Their performance metrics are in the toilet. Compass blames it on MX issues caused from their aging aircraft and the LA market in general as being a tough market to attain good performance metrics. I don't know whether or not their performance metrics are bad enough to break their contract or not? But sooner or later that contract will need to be renegotiated. If things don't change I don't think they will extend it. But what do I know, I didn't think Delta would extend the GoJet flying either. I'm not saying Endeavor would get any of the Compass 175's either. In fact Delta seems very happy with SkyWest's west coast operations.
Again, just an opinion, that and a dollar gets you a coffee at LGA. |

Ok, I had heard the 200's are part of the five year plan. Think dual class is a pipe dream for a while

Short term, they're not going anywhere. Long term, I still don't think a 175 operation makes sense here for the cost of running a 2nd fleet type. Delta will work some sort of deal with SKW to run the Compass 175's and maybe send 36 of their CRJ7/9 here, if the planes are to be moved.

I agree. But how far out are you thinking short term? I just got a feeling that something is in the works regarding them and also GoJets lift. It's nothing concrete. Just a hunch

I agree about the Ejets. Delta RAH and United are in bed for 173.5M clams as sort of a bailout for RAH from United and Deltas own claims against RAH. I believe that RAH will come out of bankruptcy without the ownership of Shuttle America nor any of the assets it operates. To that note it seems shuttle America will be Endeavor II. Makes most financial sense. Then we can look for the dismantling of Compass to AA.
