I'm still seeing CMH, YUL and RIC out of JFK, from a very quick search, and by quick I mean those are the only 3 I looked at...

I agree. However from what I understand, the Barbies were brought to fill in for the original wind-down of the 50-seaters out of New York. Previously this flying was operated by the now defunct Chautauqua Airlines; which before that was flown by Pinnacle; which before that was flown by Comair; which ahhhhh who cares. It's soon to be all Delta anyway until they make the wrong hedge bet or the economy tanks and then they'll build regionals up again. Blah blah haha

How do you access that?

Deltanet, departments, network schedule. There you can view current, next and proposed schedule. Excell format and you can view each operator and ac. It's really nice. It only goes out about 2-3 months. But you do get an idea of future flying.

What did it cost the company, we already had an established base. My guess very little, now we have pilots there and if they want to stay when we shift flying to duel class it won't be such a burden on the company. Just my educated guess.

I have a feeling dueling will be frowned upon, even in the mighty 900. :)

I have felt that the 200s could be used as place holders with which to exchange for other airframes at later dates. Maybe that is what happened in this case.

So basically are New York 200 guys gonna either be displaced to Detroit or msp or atl or just re trained on a 900 if they close up shop now for them as quickly as they said it was gonna grow?

Why would you assume that? Isn't MSP still the biggest 900 CA base, even though it has the least amount of flying? They'll just flow them thru other bases via flying or deadheads...

Been through this before in 2013 when they pulled 200s out of ny the first time. So through a vacancy notice, we can bid out of NY but if your desired domicile is not an option, I think we can displace/realign ourselves to the desired base.

Where did this ny 200 base closure info come from? I hadn't heard
about this before.
