So it appears all 3 companies are "manipulating" the numbers to show the public an equal $60K figure. At EDV, one is very likely to actually make more than $60K, based on the per diem figure, while flying 1000 hours for most people just isn't going to happen.
Can we agree on that, Flyboy?

FWIW, this year I was on roughly year one pay for half the year and year two pay the other half. With no form of new hire bonus I grossed just under $63K. This is also with picking up open time but not working myself to death by any means.

A friend of mine was asking advice in choosing between us and Envoy. One of the pieces I have him was to go somewhere he would be happy to stay if the music stops. Most people's plan is to get experience at a regional, then move on to a major. Remember, Custer had a plan too. Pay rates are a lot more difficult to take away than a bonus. Let's get them as high as possible.

FWIW
5 months on first year pay, 7 months on second year pay.
Line holder living in base picking up 1-4 days of OT per month.
Still have one more paycheck to receive for the year at $1326.38. Add that to my YTD gross for a grand total of $72,553.24 gross year two pay.
It wasn't long ago when that amount would be considered Captain pay.

Right now, yes. But honestly, Jan 17 new hire will have about 650 ish people ahead of them. I'd say unless we take on more aircraft besides these 14 200's, it might be longer. Maybe 2 years. It's all a spitball. Right now it's 1000 hours and you upgrade but no one knows how long that'll last. I doubt it will jump higher than 2 to 2.5 years though just because of solid attrition.
