While we're discussing a pay rate vs. a bonus, let's not forget that new hires get more now than a few months ago, meaning to remain equal to what they are getting now (which is still less than the AA WOs by a fair amount), we would have to receive an hourly increase of $33.33 just to match a new hire's first year salary today.
Even Go Jets is paying more than $63.33 at $67.39 an hour.
Even Go Jets is paying more than $63.33 at $67.39 an hour.
1st year pay at Envoy: $37.90 ($34,110 annually)
Bonuses UP TO $22,100 and that's only if you meet a bunch of requirements mainly previous 121 time.
Assuming you qualify that's $56,210 first year and it decreases second year to $47,800 second year, and third year, and decreases even further to $37,800 fourth year
GoJet is $36.50 ($32,850 annually) plus $12k signing bonus so $44,850 annually. Decreases to $35,100 second year
Compared to Endeavor which is guaranteed at $57,000 for everyone regardless of any qualifiers for a bonus. Slight decrease to $53k year two which is still leaps and bounds above the rest.
You can argue career progression and whatnot but it's a fact that Endeavor still offers the best pay package in the industry

*Sigh* no they aren't...
Piedmont first year pay $38.80 X 75 X 12 = $34,920 plus UP TO a $20k bonus but not everyone gets that (previous 121)... Assuming you qualify that's $54,920. If you don't have previous 121 time it's $34,920 + $16,200 bonus = $51,120
Second year drops to $47800
So still way less than Endeavor which is $57k minimum guaranteed without any need to qualify for a bonus.. $53k second year

I'm not arguing that EDV isn't the best, pay attention to what I am saying. We raised ours, they followed suit. We raised ours again, to the max we can without a new contract. Are you. Happy to sit here and rest on your laurels? I'm not. I want to see us raise again, thru straight pay, to over $60K FYFO pay, and equivalent raise for every pilot on property. Enough of this higher bonus pay to get folks in the door BS.
And your numbers are off a tad. PDT and ENY advertise $60K before Per diem. Only EDV uses per diem of $3K to raise their advertised pay to $60K as the others do.

60,000 first year pay for first officers with signing bonuses
$38.80 per hour for 1,000 hours
$16,200 signing bonus
$5,000 signing bonus for current Part 121 experience
$38.80 per hour for 1,000 hours
$16,200 signing bonus
$5,000 signing bonus for current Part 121 experience
$34,910 + $16,200 = $51,120
If you have previous 121 time tack another $5k on top. Still not 60K, still not as good as ours.
Endeavor doesn't use per diem in our advertisement by the way.. our 60k advertisement is based off 1000 hours just like PDT is trying to do (but they still come up $5k short unless you have 121 time)
--------
I'm not arguing any point here in terms of the bonuses vs pay rates. Let's just use actual facts instead of making up stuff, okay?
FACT: no regional guarantees $60k yet
FACT: PDT (and the other AA WO) don't really pay near $60K
FACT: Endeavor has the highest pay, no if and our butts about it

Actually, you are

My numbers aren't off man. They are straight from the source... You can look them up if you want. Just because they are ADVERTISING $60K doesn't change the facts. They use 1000 hours of pay plus the max bonus to reach the $60k level. You can take a look for yourself
Piedmont Airlines Pilot Careers
Now let's do the real math (it's sad I have to go over this again...) $38.8 X 75 X 12 = $34,910
$34,910 + $16,200 = $51,120

Fact: EDV pays $57K guarantee
Fact: EDV advertises $60K using per diem
Fact: The other AA WOs are advertising $60K as well (I didn't care to get into the weeds on the breakdown, but thanks for pointing out the recruiting tool of using 1,000 hours)
Fact: I think we should use everything in our power to gain an hourly pay increase that will put us over $60K when the time comes, if said time is in the next 2-3 months. If they wait until the bonus is nearly over next year, then we should fight for whatever the highest paid regionals are advertising at that time, hopefully closer to $70K.
Line two clearly shows EDV using per diem in their salary computation on APC: Endeavor Air | AirlinePilotCentral.com
