High and Avro are 100% correct! Any effort to roll the bonus into pay rates MUST be predicated on a guarantee year, i.e. $23000/12/75 which equals $25.56/hour. The increase in every position at every longevity must be at least that or it's a big fat NO for me! No pay cuts for anybody on property, period!
If you want to continue the bonus then tell them that. The company and Delta doesn't care how we get the money, and if you don't want any more money in your 401k or so when pick up at 150 or 200 it isnt worth comicly more, fine! But this has been explained ad nauseum on this and every board and in classes. The pay rates will not go up by 25.56 because thats a payraise after you're done with all the benefits.
Company wants to transfer the damn money into pay rates. If you want pay rates with no benefits, fine. Just say to your reps " just extend the bonus, make it easy on everyone, and in the future dont worry about my 401k or anything". If you want to change the money into rates so you and most pilots will make more, then your hourly rate goes up by less than 25.56 because your pay is MORE than what's on your paycheck.
Im out of here soon, and I care less every day about how badly you want to screw yourself. However, take the rates, it helps you with everything, and the 401k multiplies by compound interest. There is no pension, the 401k is all you got to retire with.

The company is seeing the reality of the current marketplace. Regionals have gone from $18K 1st yr to $65K 1st yr - in what seems like a second!! That was not because the man was feeling generous. They will do what they feel they need to do to keep their only WO (the only one they can control fully) staffed and operational. If its a raise, then EDV will get more money. If AA WOs start getting more NH, and EDV has trouble staffing - they will pay (kicking and screaming) to get the headcount up. If NH pipeline miraculously gets full, and they are over staffed, or econ slow down, or any of a hundred other scenarios, they will cut pay just as fast. Its hard to cut pay rates, but easier to sunset bonus payments.
For now, just savor what you can get while the getting is good. If the unions can get the bonus payments rolled into a pay rate, and at mins you get a slight pay cut - still take it, because the rate raise is much much more than just 75 x 12 x rate change - it flows into everything, and it is a lot harder to take away......
The company maximizes profit - that is its job. If they are feeling the pinch and are being forced to pay the slave labor some more - take it quick - before they can pull those purse strings tight again

The sad damn truth is endeavor probably missed it's opportunity already, as class sizes stay full theyll give less and less crap about keeping us happy. Ryan is already out the door.
Whatever. You'll all be at mainline soon one way or the other.

class sizes are already filled up with Wisconsin guys abandoning ship. As more regionals shut down classes will be full.

Of course he is, Delta pilot pay with the new contract is more than Endeavor CEO pay. He can stay as the CEO here, until he holds the line there.

What in the stupid bag of stupid is this? The God damn money aint going to be a 25 bucks an hour. The bonus is amount x. That amount doesn't get matched into your damn 401k, it doesn't pay out on your sick time or your vacation time. If you ever stay here long enough for 3 weeks worth of vacation (or to sell it back when you bail out for delta or whoever) that's paid work your not doing and it ain't free.

Second, and this is just me, not financial advice, but trusting the government to not dump all 401k's into a bond annuity program is completely foolish.
