I don't know for sure but they may take people with that have the original company mins first before they reduce them and some guys that were Captains here before would meet that criteria. As far as unfilled ones you would have to talk with the right people in Union and company.

That's very true my friend. I'm not disputing that there are many, many people that have been with EDV through thick and thin and been there for many years. By comparison I am a new hire. I was saying I'm not a new hire with regard to the quoted text from another person ask if I was new hire= in ground school/sim. Sorry for stepping on any ones toes.

There are no furloughs, there are a few guys that came back from a leave of absence that was offered years back. Most of these returning pilots being talked about are pilots that quit and applied to be rehired as a newhire, but their previous company experience does still count toward upgrade times.
