Black raincoat/weather coat (aka whatever I want that's all black cos I'm a regional pilot who's disgruntled and never makes podium announcements cos I don't work in customer service so who cares anyway, kind of jacket)

It's pretty easy to know exactly what the approved uniform piece is when they come into new hire class and show and tell you exactly what it is. IIRC, if you log onto your account at our uniform supplier (M&H), they do not show you things that aren't to standard.

Why lighten up? He's right. Why wouldn't you encourage others to follow the rules? They have a dress code for a reason.

Because turkey is kidding.

Not the first discussion about uniforms by pilots. Seriously, this conversation is so old it needs a walker, turkey was joking and it was funny.

Lighten up, all of you. I command thee with my PIC authority. If you're that worried, waiting in the crew room until someone comes in out of uniform and a CP or base manager pulls them aside to talk. Someone has a job to be the uniform police.

Do you have to wear the uniform shirt in the winter? Can I come in dressed in a Santa suit?

Absolutely.

Easter is my favorite time of year. I fly with the bunny suit on.

Your CA authority doesn't extend past the Skywest thread. Please don't try to use it here.

And any guy with "turkey" in his name cannot be taken anything but seriously.

I recently flew with a CA wearing a Xmas tie and a red stocking cap. Obviously, standards are held by all!!

I was one of the first to turn this thread to outerwear and I was referring to the clothing I was wearing during training, to survive winter in MN.

Look, our training fail rate is about 10% in the summer. In the winter it spikes to 45% because of hypothermia deaths. You're probably already dead and dont know it.

I live in Florida for a reason. God have mercy on your soul.
