I only had like 2000 hours TT and 1000 121 when I made the switch. I could have stuck it out until feb 2018 and maybe been around what spirit wants for time but I felt that was too risky of a life decision to be either hoping a lcc calls or just out of a job if they don't . So another regional for me. I'm not seeing it as a lateral move. Chance to upgrade and make more money and dgi. Sounds good to me. Only downside was I was living in base in DCA and now I'll be commuting.

You could probably start by having a workable attitude. I mean I read four lines of text and could instantly surmise that you're not too pleasant. Next?!

I hope you are not disappointed when you do not get the quick upgrade. The new hires from summer of 2015 are hitting their 1000 hours and hundreds have been hired since last summer. There are guys with 2000 hours 121 hired this spring that have not yet upgraded. Do not believe the recruiters that tell you can go straight to upgrade after class or OE. Not going to happen unless we get 30 new aircraft. I look forward to having experienced FOs come to Endeavor but I sure hope you are told the truth and not subject to recruiters trying to fill classes.

No doubt about it, if you are young and can get roommates you could have a good time and get into a lot of trouble for a couple years living in the city. As for us old geezers, NY might be a great place to visit I just don't get how people settle there, it seems like most people still live with their family or have a spouse that allows them to actually buy a house. Aren't houses like $600K for something that is barely livable which would be so far from the city that you wouldn't even be able to enjoy the food/offerings anyway. I agree on commuting, if you have to commute, you might as well commute to NY.

That question you posed is like asking someone who is standing at a locked door and asking them if they had tried using a key. It was very patronizing...then then your response was even more patronizing for telling me I had a poor attitude and made a judgement about my entire personality based on that.
Would any pilot reading these words move to another regional if they have a chance to interview at a major. Again...tell me how I make that happen instantly? No it takes hard work, patience and a positive attitude...not just as you saw "workable".
Those of us leaving AWAC, for example, all have specific life situations that make us leave or stay and choose where to go. Going to an LCC...or at least the ones that are currently in business is not an option...because it doesn't fit my OoL goals.
Oh and my attitude is just fine...quite good actually because I made a great choice starting at Endeavor where there will be continued advancement even though Truthsayer thinks I got snowed by a recruiter.

Um...not sure what you are getting at? Let me ask a patronizing question in return to yours: Do you know anything about what it is like to try and move to a major or legacy from a regional?
