Same. Unquestionably my favorite city in this country. I suspect it's one of those places that the thought of moving there is terrifyingly unreasonable, and the reality is actually marginally reasonable.

You pay to live here though. Brand markup.

New York really is an amazing place to live. Everyone should for a little while..

We've got a great group here; and are more than happy to help show folks the ropes!

I agree. While I don't live here, I find the commute easy 95% of the time and even if I get stuck, having a crash pad makes it easy to spend another day, and I always make the most of it. Go catch a game, explore a new area of the city, maybe see a show, eat great food. If you commute to any where in the country you'll miss eventually. I'd much rather get an evening and night in NYC than pretty much any where else. It's all about attitude and perspective. And if you're stuck on living in base, it's doable. Plenty of people do it within an hour commute of JFK or LGA. Just do some research and find an affordable area for you. Not everywhere is downtown Manhattan pricing.

I personally know 4 people who in the past 60 days chose other companies over EDV because they didn't want NY. Who in their right mind would choose NY, unless they hoped to leave in a timely manner? (No offense to those crazy enough to think NY is a great place to live)
I am curious what this month no show rate is and what next months will be. I know several pilots that get multiple offers and then of course only show up for one class. My guess is that we have a higher no show rate in Dec and 2017 than in 2016

That's very positive. I think a lot of Air Whiskey pilots are coming hoping for quick upgrade which is better here that at a AA WO

I heard from a DL CA that DGI, once it starts in about 2 years, will only take 12 a month from EDV. Is this accurate?

I'm part of the DGI and I was told when hired that once you interview you'd go into the next available DL class. Unlike the current SSP.
