No, I'd rather not have to deal with the eventual breakage caused by a mount that doesn't allow for a case to be on the iPad. So I'll take the company one, to allow me to drop it off at ops to get it fixed. I wouldn't use it for personal stuff anyway, much prefer my laptop for that.

I seem to remember outlets were hard to find when I was at my last recurrent. I have not been in any of the New Hire rooms so they may be better equipped.

I have an iPad3 with logitech Keyboard that I bought when I started at AWAC in 2012..that battery will last all day...so if I have tablet power issues...I'll revert to that...it's a dinosaur...but she has personality.

Don't waste your time on notes. They give you all the PowerPoint slides to take home but most of the test material comes from the books. They're pretty straight forward. I filled two books of legal pads at awac gs. Took maybe less than a page here.

This. You will get a LOT of paper in class, with places to write notes and highlight the important stuff. When it comes to systems class, they will give you a book that you should keep forever, and 95% of your systems test will come from that. I probably wrote less than one page of notes in my indoc handouts, reviewed them once before the test, and did well.
