One crisis at a time. Growth is growth; more upgrades, more flying- doesn't matter if it's an Embraer, CRJ200, Saab, Jetstream, or Avro (******* said the A word).

"If you build it, they will come" etc. More hiring, more upgrades coming in 2017, it's a better prospect than many other airlines face at the moment. EFBs finally close to arriving, let's see what happens on the bonus-payrates negotiations.

Adding a handful of 200s is a start, if we can take small bits of growth here and there it's all good stuff for us. Last thing you want to do in this environment is over commit and see performance numbers plummet. All opinion here. Koolaid or not, I think overall things are alright for us.

Word on the street at Delta is MSP 717 base in 2017-18 range. That is dependent on the C- Series initial placement. Not sure what the plan is for the MSP -900.

The MD80s can't go into LGA starting this spring which I'm sure means more of our 900s getting planted out there too.

I think MSP is seeing shrinkage at all regionals except GoJet (*eye roll*). My buddies at SkyWest are saying their flying has started to shrink there too.

That's what I've tried saying... grow New York all you want, just don't do it at the expense of Detroit and Minneapolis... unfortunately, we aren't really growing, we are shifting. The movement isn't growth, it's the SSP (and a few others) moving on, Meanwhile there have been only shrinking of the MSP and DTW captain positions for the last year. Yes some FO's have been able to get to DTW (not MSP) but as for captains.... it's only been going backwards in both bases.. that's not growth in my book.
We've lost a lot of potential new hires to Envoy because of #1 no flow, #2 no options other than New York realistically.

I can confirm #2 first hand. There's definitely a significant number of guys and gals out there that aren't going to give us a look even if we do fold the bonus into hourly rates. Having some more attractive bases would do wonders for us. A warmer weather locale would be a good start, if nothing else for all the folks that would be interested but would be commuting from states like FL.

The hourly rates thing would make a difference overall. No "expiration date" like the current bonus has, and you can make so much more thanks to open time and just over blocking. Opentime 150% at $50/HR or whatever it may be...

A token southern base for us would indeed be huge, though.

Pilots at 15-06 (11/25/2015) 1546
Pilots at 16-06 (11/23/2016) 1696

150 more pilots on ISL, growth of 9% YOY

Most junior pilot in 15-06 moved up 273(!) spots in 1 year, plus an additional 150 new people means there are 423 bidders below him... In one year

I moved up from bidding 94% with less than 100 people below me to bidding 70% with nearly 500 people below me.

Nope, no movement to see here folks

Exactly, plus we have added aircraft. There is absolutely no way to spin it to say that we haven't grown this year.

The company and NYC have grown. MSP and DTW have shrank. No way to spin that bad news for people that don't want NYC.

Latest bid pack shows 48 FO's in MSP on the 200. I remember a few months ago we were close to 70
