My personal one is old and I was going to replace it anyways, so might as well have the company pay for it, that's what I was thinking. Would be nice to have data and some more memory.

I was/am in the trial and I was in the same boat. Ended up getting a Pro 9.7" with all the bells and whistles. I know the company won't cover the full cost but hey, at least it's something.

For guys they are still in initial sims with Faa time, do they usually not move guys around from say 900-200 vice versa until you are on the line or am I just not senior enough to move back and forth yet?

You have to be completed with IOE to change aircraft.

@ChipChelios, I think you have to be done with training to be awarded captain.

Looks like quite a few folks got out of NYC and into DTW, good to see!

Where did you get yours? I think I will get the Pro as well. No sense in buying 3 year old technology.

I have a friend who works at best buy and gets a pretty hefty discount. Got the 128gb wifi and data model for $550 with 2 years apple care. That's pretty much 50% off of sticker. There are deals around but you have to shop for them. I highly recommend getting apple care. 2 years of no questions asked device replacement.

Wow that's an incredible deal! Almost worth picking up a part time job at Best Buy just for the discount.

What case do you recommend getting for it?
