I only need 40 hours. But I'm flying 10 hours a month on rsv. 😒

I've heard two different versions of the instant upgrade. Some say you need some Endeavor time...the recruiters say the endeavor time is waived.

It's waived if there are no other qualified candidates

Currently at the lowest paying regional (take a guess!)
Have nearly 900 hours 121 time but may say screw-it to upgrade and make a lateral move.
First checking into some LCC's and ACMI but obviously, not a shoo-in with no TPIC and also a couple things on my record that could be scrutinized.
Definitely considering EDV and AA-wholly-owned if they'll take me;
EDV would mean the same equipment I currently fly and hopefully I could get on w/ the 900 (not fussy about base but would prefer NY) and upgrade fairly quickly.

There is no seatlocks for initial assignment, so if you get 200, you can bid 900 once off OE. For captaincy, 900 tends to be more senior, but its up in the air these days. If you want NYC you'll have it.

Hope all the AWAC guys are finding it a good transition. Sorry for the circumstances, but hopefully you'll all have a quick upgrade and can get to a career place ASAP.

I listened to the chief pilot tell a group that with each vacancy that comes out, you can bid and the company will give you an assumed 75 hours per month. With 900 hours, a guy could bid and upgrade in two months from signing on the dotted line depending on the vacancy.

You mean the very same TW who told us last month that we would NOT be seeing the new hire bonus jump the additional $7K? That TW?

Here is the way it works. First you need 1000 hours 121 or possibly 900 (if they do not have enough pilots that have 1000) and the company will give you a class date in the future to allow you get the time required.

Next comes company time. Those with 1000 hours company time upgrade based on their seniority - then they start looking for pilots that have 1000 hours 121 and the most company time of those that qualify. Then it goes by company hours and seniority. i.e. someone with 1000 hours 121 and 500 company will upgrade before a pilot with 10,000 hours 121 time and 499 hours company time.

A fast upgrade really depends on the current FOs that have 1000 company and 121 bypassing upgrade. I know there are current pilots that have well over 1000 hours 121 and more than 300 hours company time that are not getting awarded upgrades on vacancies. If we do (rumor - not fact) get new airplanes next year and FOs keep bypassing we could see instant upgrades, but if no new planes and FOs take upgrade then no instant upgrade.

Make sense?

Things are moving fast at Endeavor so we will need CAs but I do not want to see guys make lateral moves expecting "instant" upgrade without completely understanding the process and truth from someone that is not a recruiter.

PM if you have any questions.

PSA flies 200,700 and 900 and has a flow.
