If you're a 900 guy ask about our freedumb five that should have been 12 or 15 (idr). Another 12 200s hu? Oh boy, here we go again
I get all that. If anything I'm saying that management isn't being honest.

Default Upgrade Questions

Seat Lock:

Will a new 200 CA be seat locked for a period of a year, or will the seat lock only apply with a 900>200 change?

Current RSV times:

As of this moment in time, how long are reserve times running for LGA 200 and LGA 900 (ballpark).

Thanks guys

IIRC there is no seat lock after upgrading (it's a higher paying position).

Reserve for both the 200 and 900 is probably a couple of months at the rate they are putting new hires in NY

Well I think there used to be? Maybe it changed with AQP and differences training. I'll have to check. That'd be weird if you could upgrade from 200 CA to 900 CA on the very next vacancy

5. Upgrade Training

a. A First Officer will be eligible to upgrade to Captain while subject to an
equipment freeze, except when that freeze was a result of an unsuccessful
Captain Upgrade training event (Section 11.C.).

b. A First Officer who upgrades to Captain will be subject to a twelve (12) month equipment freeze.

7. Voluntary Bid to Higher Paying Category

A Pilot who voluntarily bids for and successfully completes training for a Category
that pays a higher rate of pay as the Category held by the Pilot at the time of the award shall not be subject to a freeze, except as stated in paragraph G.5.b., above.

So YES there is a seat lock. 1 year from completion of training. Simplified.

That's like saying, "only a small percentage of American citizens (Endeavor pilots) have defected to ISIS (hired by the competition)".

No matter how small the number, it's not impressive. Point is that they are willing to let good employees, that are increasingly harder to find, go directly to the competition.

This will catch up with them.

LOL Please.

You don't think there's a few dozen Eagle/etc pilots that have wet to other airlines (including DL)? I assume you're in favor of a flow. Fine, but IMO DL management isn't ever going to go for that. Nor will they have to. And even if they did, you'd still see pilots leave every airline for other airlines.
