This isn't directed at you personally, but toward all of the senior guys that think we 'new guys' are *****ing. A lot of us new hires aren't new pilots. We are just as or more experienced than you in other fields of aviation. We came to the airlines because the pay finally had a modicum of sense to it. We will go back to where we came from as soon as it doesn't. Our values don't equal your values; that's why we didn't come to the regionals when the pay was $20/hour. Do we expect more in the form of compensation and QoL? Apparently. Is that a bad thing? No.

Maybe, maybe not. Delta had a habit of screwing with regionals, theres probably a way to do it still. Right now its looking good.

Is training paid? Or is that a bad question?
If EFBs start January, are new hires getting ipads or is 50lbs of paper still the deal?
Im a December hire who's here for the thirst of a NY base, but I'm not sure which aircraft would best fit. Lots of info here but no one seems to be 100% sure, is more 200s coming or are there too little of 200s? Is 900 a better option? I hear 200 can get you a better schedule and faster upgrade, but yet there are more 900s and you can get on line to a 900 out of JFK quicker. How sway?

I can tell you 200 better QOL than 900. Line faster and more days off once you gain some seniority. And right now yes the upgrade is faster on the 200...line quicker vs eternal reserve on the 900 as a captain. This is all for NYC though as DTW and MSP is not moving at all. Hopefully that will change.

I came here cause i love it and heard nothing but greatness bout you people, however the complaints seem to be at an all time high when reading forums, which doesn't really phase me cause my mind is made up regardless, which is the case of almost everyone else. But less backlashing would certainly help the growth as a few others pointed out.

You will still get paper because we have to carry both for a couple months I believe.
Bid the 200, it goes more junior, and you''I'll probably upgrade on it anyway so you'll be used to it.
People will always complain on an anonymous message board. Right now we are complaining about how much of a raise we are going to get so just keep things in perspective. Endeavor is a great place to be, the company runs well for the most part, and I have really enjoyed my time here so far (~2 years).

Training is paid at 75 hours at $30 an hour from day one of ground school. Although looking back I actually made more than guarantee during ground school, not sure how that happened....

EDV vs PSA
Hello,
I have offers from both EDV and PSA. I'm now making the typical "who should I pick" post and am hoping to get some views. I don't want the decision made for me, just information to help.
Previous 121/CRJ experience.
EDV Question
- If you only care about base, how quickly can you get out of NYC? I want DTW and don't nessicarly care about the fast upgrades and quick times in getting a line in the NYC domicle.
Hypothetically speaking: Class date is 11/2016, when could I sniff DTW? In addition I'm ignoring the "fast upgrade" at EDV because once I get out of NYC I don't plan on going back.
PSA Question(s)
- I live just outside the 2hr limit for SCR, but I'm eyeing DAY as the base I want. Same scenario as above with a 11/2016 class date, when could I expect LCR and/or Round 1/SAP bidding.
- How are the AA flight benefits. Didn't really get a full answer on them.
Pros at EDV:
- DTW base
- No stipulations for the bonus
Pros at PSA:
- DAY base
- No "sophomore slump" in pay
- Realistic upgrade chance
- AA "flow" but that isn't a big factor for me but nice to have in the back pocket.
Posting this in both EDV and PSA topics.
Thanks

What? I certainly **** and moaned so many didnt get the ssp (though i did). I'd still leave for the first place I can.
I dont have a problem with the new guys wanting more, i just would like to help the only part of the pilot group who still hasn't been made whole (senior guys). The new guys and their attitude of "screw it I'll leave" is gonna get me more money before I leave for more money.
I'm trying to say these guys want more, expect more, will leave if they don't get more, embrace it.
