I'll be commuting out of DFW. MSP is a very easy for me. But I just want to get a commutable line and upgrade ASAP. What aircraft and base should I shoot for?
Getting to JFK would be near impossible but between Love and DFW there are about 17 flights a day to LGA. Lots of other airline than DL which increases your odds.

Distance though is a stretch... we do have a lot of guys doing it though.

DTW 900 is starting to move faster than the 200 right now. MSP is stone cold slow.
Thank you for the info. I start in Dec. class. I'm pretty pumped about joining endeavor. I had many interviews with lots of regionals and this is the place for me.

If there are any DFW commuters out here, let me know. I would love to PM you and pick your brain. I'm an old American Eagle guy and all I know is how the AA system works.

I started August 22nd, just got back from my first IOE trip and should be done on Thursday with IOE. So just under 3 months from start of Ground school to end of OE

Hey fellas, anyone know how picking up a reserve day works? On FLICA, I would like to pick up a reserve day on my day off called "PR2." I am P3 reserve normally so does this pick up mean it will be a P3 reserve pick up or would I be on reserve all day long? Thanks in advanced

If you live in DFW, why not Envoy?
Thanks for the great info.

I was at American Eagle in 2011. I didn't want to make that mistake again. Ive learned from my mistakes. I would be commuting to LGA or ORD anyway. Reserve for at least a year, There's no upgrade in sight, and no matter what they say about flow. It's not 5 years.

I have a goal in mind and I'm not going to let something like commuting stop me. I've done it before. It's not as bad as the Debby Downers make it.

Go to "pilot reserve add" on flica and submit a request. You are technically pickijg up the whole day of reserve so they can assign p1,2, or 3 depending on their needs. It's doubtful you' will get P3 in my experience.

Honestly, your best bet is to call crew scheduling and see where they need reserves. More than once I was willing to pick up a P2 reserve, but they were only interested in P1, so I wouldn't do it.

Sitting right seat at a Regional for a decade sucks more than commuting for a short time to achieve a goal. I agree commuting can be difficult at times. But, everyone's situation is different.
